About the Program
The Fund Development Capacity Building Program provides unique step-by-step guidance and support for board and staff to work together to create and implement new fundraising strategies, focusing on increasing individual donors.
Ten nonprofit organizations were selected to participate in this year’s
eight month intensive training and
consultation program which goes from November 2008 to June 2009.

Participating nonprofits will:
- Assess their current fund development strengths and limitations
- Identify the most promising strategies to increase their fundraising capacity
- Develop comprehensive fundraising capacity building plans for their organizations
- Work with highly skilled consultants to implement their fund development plans
- Evaluate progress towards fund development goals and revise capacity building plans to address emerging needs and opportunities
